The Rhythm of Fighters

The Rhythm of Fighters is a rhythm game where instead of playing an instrument or following a song, you have to slug it out with another fighter from the famous fighting game franchise The King of Fighters.

At first glance, The Rhythm of Fighters looks like a traditional 2D fighting game where your character is located on the left side of the screen and your opponent on the right. However, as soon as you start playing you'll realize it's actually a rhythm game similar to Guitar Hero or Elite Beat Agents.

As you begin several oval-shaped notes will appear on your screen and you'll have to tap them for your character to attack. If you do it perfectly your character will deck out combinations of punches and can even end up doing 'supers'. Obviously if you start messing up, it's your enemy who will gain the upper hand.

In The Rhythm of Fighters you can control several characters from the SNK franchise, such as Athena, Kyo Kusanagi, Ryo Sakazaki, or the one and only Terry Bogard (although he doesn't come unlocked by default).

The Rhythm of Fighters is an outstanding game that perfectly combines two genres as disparate as one-on-one fighting games and traditional rhythm games. All of this with the special final touch given by the SNK Playmore games.
